A great bed! The timber is of good quality, there are no chemical glues or varnishes which is great for little bub. We got our bed to be able to co-sleep and it is working well. It looks good too!

The transition
Most families have two options when their little ones reach 18 months. Move them into a full height single and spend the next month worrying about them falling. Or leave the cot up for a few months until they climb out of it anyway.
The Monty meets them where they are. The mattress sits on the floor, so there is no height to fall from and no rail to climb over. They can get themselves in and out. And it's made for co-sleeping so the transition is smooth and natural.
"I used to lay awake for hours at night listening for a cry and worry about hearing a thud"
The Monty floor bed solves both problems. It keeps your loved one safe and also helps them build up confidence to sleep on their own.
Setting it up
Just 10 bolts. One allen key.
Not just a place to sleep. The Monty is low to the ground, so your child can get in and out on their own terms and settle themselves without a gate, a rail to climb, or a call down the hall. Building their independence on their own.

So happy with our monty bed. We wanted something Australian made as previous purchases overseas the wood was smelly and the instructions were so comfusing. The bed was easy to put together and the wood is smooth with no odours. Easy to get in and out of even for me.

I wanted a floor bed for my son that didn't have a house frame. This one is perfect as the rails keep him safe but he can get in and out by himself. Super easy to put together and get sturdy.

We love the monty floor bed! It's so beautiful and love that it's Australian made. Sorry for the bad photo, we just set it up in the lounge room before we move it to our daughters room once the room is painted!

From 18 months on. That is when most toddlers have the coordination to get in and out safely.
For the first week or two, some do. This is a step in their independence that is natural. Help them adjust to having their own bed and freedom. Setup safeguards in the room to keep them out of trouble.
Most families report their little ones settling in within a few weeks. After that, the bed gets used for reading and play as well as sleep.
Yes, and it is the reason our double and queen sell the most. The base sits flat on the floor, so the weight goes straight into the ground rather than onto legs or a frame.
We actually encourage co-sleeping to help them settle in on their own over time.

No. The frame fits standard Australian mattress sizes, so you can use the one you already have or choose your own.
25cm at the most, ideally around 20cm or less. The side rails are 50cm, so a taller mattress hides the rail height that keeps a sleeping toddler on the bed.
Single and double: 9 slats, 136mm wide, approximately 68mm apart.
King single and queen: 10 slats, 136mm wide, approximately 63mm apart.
Yes. The opening can be positioned at the head, the foot, the left or the right. You can change it later by simply moving the side rail.
Under five minutes. Ten bolts and one allen key which are both included.
Free, anywhere in Australia. The Monty will ship in three boxes. They can sometimes arrive on different days. We pack it this way to keep the frame from being damaged in transit and keeps each box light enough to carry.
No. It is solid FSC certified pine with no stain, lacquer or coating on it, and no MDF, plywood or veneer anywhere in the bed.
Australia does not mandate any safety standard for toddler floor beds, so a cheaper frame doesn't need to follow any safety specs that we choose to.
We build to the gap and fit specs mandated for cots: 65mm between the rails, 1cm of mattress tolerance, solid timber throughout. This is to ensure the safety of your child and your piece of mind.
Sixty nights is roughly how long the transition takes so we ensure your loved one can fully adjust to their new bed.
